There is ambiguity with respect to the lack of standardisation. Everybody is asking questions which point to various discrepancies in the understanding of firearms, the sport and what we do. If a standardised programme were put in place it would lay to rest all of these queries. Mr. Crofton said he would be the first to state that we would not push past a certain point. We are trying to restrict it, but the issue is trying to put in place checks and balances so that it is focused and public safety is not forgotten.
