Mr. Robert Pye, who is an assistant secretary in the Department of Finance, was reported in The Sunday Timeshere in Ireland - after a freedom of information request on 1 May 2011 - to have made a submission to Mr. Wright's group stating that there was an environment in the Department of unquestioning obedience to politicians that permeated the Department. He also said that this was enforced by senior managers. Does Mr. Wright feel that is an accurate reflection of how the Department operated at that particular period?
