At this point I would indicate, as well as being a medical doctor, that after every budget when excise duty is increased, a number of people seek smoking cessation programmes due to the fact that the cost of cigarettes has a significant effect on their pockets. It is of major benefit to them when they give up smoking and I would encourage the Deputy to do the same.
