I thank the Chairman. As the committee will be aware, I do have the power to make special report to the Oireachtas under section 7 of the Ombudsman (Defence Forces) Act 2004. That is a power that has not been exercised and I expect it would be reserved for special cases such as those to which the chairman is referring.
