Apologies have been received from Senator Tony Mulcahy. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the motions regarding the appointment of members of the Irish human rights and equality commission. A briefing has been circulated to members. I welcome the Minister and her officials to the meeting to assist the committee in its consideration of the motions.
