I thank Mr. Jackman for making an excellent presentation. A number of questions strike me on foot of his presentation. In regard to the shortcomings in the operation of the regulator vis-à-visthe ombudsman and the banking sector, including in the variations in treatment and level of fairness, does he regard it as uniquely an Irish problem? Has he studied the regulatory and ombudsman systems in other jurisdictions and, if so, how do they compare?
