Of course there is, and the Minister is very skilled in trying to avoid questions and get around angles. The amendment is clear, and I said it could be subject to being amended further, which would mean that anything that happened within the previous 21 days would not annul or invalidate any action taken. The Minister spoke about parliamentary questions, freedom of information, parliamentary debates and questioning the Minister here but that does not allow for Oireachtas oversight with regard to directions given by the Minister of State or any subsequent Minister that can be annulled through the normal procedures that apply in the Houses of the Oireachtas.
