If bonus organisations are purporting to be charities, that is a big issue. The charity register will establish exactly who is bogus and who is not. If those organisations are not on the register and they are purporting to be charities, they will be in contravention of the Act and the authority will take whatever means are necessary to ensure their activities are halted. The register will allow us to identify clearly whether an organisation is a charity.
