I welcome all the groups here today and commend their excellent submissions. This will be a very complex Bill and we need to get it right and to get as broad a consensus as possible. I strongly agree with Dr. Mary Wingfield that professional counselling should be mandatory, with her points on section 3, the right of children to access the information and her concerns about the non-commercial approach to treatment.

Dr. Wingfield states in the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, IOG, submission that the phrase "human reproductive material" is confusing. Can she clarify section 1?
