I believe that would be moving it in the wrong direction. However, I still believe we should have the review. The legislation that underpins Coillte dates from 1988. If Coillte is not reviewed in the light of the concepts of sustainable forest management and good forest practice that are supposed to inform how forestry is done all over the world now and that we have signed up to, then we are doing something dreadfully wrong. Half of forestry would be left out of the frame which is just not right or sustainable. I will certainly be pressing the amendment and raising it again on Report Stage.
