We move on to our discussion of quality and standards in primary and post-primary schools. I welcome the chief inspector at the Department of Education and Skills, Dr. Harold Hislop. His report covering the period 2010 to 2012 which was recently launched by the Minister provides details of the quality of education in primary and second level schools and centres for education and highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the primary and post-primary education systems.
