I got one thing wrong when I suggested we would maintain two rolls. One roll for both will be maintained by the regulatory authority, rather than one roll being maintained by the Bar Council. I was inaccurate because I was thinking of an earlier issue. That is the reason the regulatory authority, rather than the Bar Council, will maintain the roll. I apologise if I gave the wrong information. I was misinformed in a comment I had made about maintaining two rolls. It goes back to a conversation I had about the fact that if we had not brought the whole thing into the regulatory authority, there would have been two rolls. This was the solution to it. The other side is that the Law Society will continue to maintain the roll for solicitors. I would have preferred the legal services regulatory authority to do this. The Bar Council could have maintained the roll, but in circumstances where we would have had two rolls, we brought the whole thing into the legal services regulatory authority.
