Special Report No. 77 of the Comptroller and Auditor General - Dublin Docklands Development Authority: Discussion (Resumed)

1:40 pm

Mr. Paul Maloney:

The €3.5 million deficit that the authority could be handing back to the Exchequer is by no means finalised. Why? Because today it continues to sell what are increasingly valuable assets - they are highly sought after now. What is happening in the docklands property market is quite extraordinary. That final figure - next February we will know of that. I believe it will not be a deficit, but I defer to the accounts in February of next year.
