Public Accounts Committee

Section 38 - Agencies Remuneration

10:30 am

Mr. Jim Nugent:

I have no problem in so doing. First, it is about time we stopped playing around with words like "top-up". If a person has an employment contract, leaving aside the amount of money, which could be €20,000, €50,000 or €100,000, it is an employment contract. That individual has a legal right and he or she can go to the courts and sue on it if one decides to change it without his or her agreement.
