I am actually a solicitor, for my sins. I was aware of what the employment legislation and entitlements were. I did not need to seek independent legal advice on that matter. Another member of the board was also a solicitor. We were ad idem that there were enforceable contracts in place with Mr. Kiely and other members of staff that we could not unilaterally break.
