We in Manorhamilton, through a shared services arrangement, do all the calculations for the VHSS and we then advise. To my knowledge, the only thing the Mater does is make a run through its payroll of what we would tell it is the appropriate pension entitlement for a pensioner. I have no idea why it would be charging anybody any fee as we do the work centrally for it as part of the shared services provided service for all of the pension funds.
