I move amendment No. 189:

In page 184, line 20, to delete"conditions of remuneration than the conditions of remuneration" and substitute the following:"terms and conditions of service (including those relating to tenure of office) or of remuneration than the terms and conditions of service (including those relating to tenure of office) or of remuneration".
Amendments Nos. 189 to 191, inclusive, are required to ensure staff from dissolved authorities who transfer to successor authorities do so on the basis of no less favourable terms and conditions, including in regard to tenure, remuneration and superannuation, as they had immediately prior to the commencement of the Act.

In amendment No. 193, I propose to insert a new paragraph 16 relating to allocation schemes for local authority housing into Schedule 4 of the Bill, which details consequential provisions relating to local authorities. These amendments also extend the collective citation of the Housing Acts 1966 to 2013 to include this new housing provision.

Amendment No. 194 seeks to ensure the registers of electors in force on establishment day in 2014 in the new local authorities of Limerick City and County, Tipperary County and Waterford City and County remain in force until new registers are next prepared and published in the normal course by these authorities. This is a technical amendment to ensure continuity of the registers of electors in the new authorities until new registers are prepared and published for 2015-2016. Amendment No. 195 corrects a typographical error.
