I thank Mr. Carrigan for his very detailed briefing. I am aware that we have agreed a timeframe and the purpose of Mr. Carrigan's presentation was to provide us with information. The Minister for Finance, Deputy Michael Noonan, will be coming before the joint committee on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. prior to the ECOFIN meeting that is due to take place on Friday next. If we want to discuss issues relating to the single resolution mechanism, we will be obliged to provide notification for the Minister of our desire to do so.

I will now take questions from members. I know that some of us are on very tight timetables and if the need arises, we can suspend proceedings.
