Deputy Dessie Ellis did say this could never happen or might never happen. As far as I understand, we are talking about a hypothetical situation. It has been pointed out that there are appeal procedures to the court available to anybody who considers he or she has been excluded from acquiring a licence. I question the relevance of the amendment but do not want to dwell on the issue. I support the Good Friday Agreement. It was a fantastic solution and is something we all support. Trying to bring it into a debate on a Bill that deals with taxi licences seems irrelevant.
