However, here we take an Act, for instance the Firearms Act 1925, which happens to be in front of me, we look at all the amendments made to it and we set it out in amended form. However, if an amending Act then introduces new material, that does not go into it so that we do not end up with this code that deals solely with all the legislation concerning firearms. A better example might be the Road Traffic Acts which affect citizens considerably more than the Firearms Act. It really would help if they could all be kept together and tightly contained.
