I thank Mr. Saint-Amans for his time. Various jurisdictions have conducted parliamentary inquiries and many of the companies listed in the two big inquiries held across the water on both sides of us are located in Ireland. Our focus is different in this regard, as these companies employ tens of thousands of Irish people and we can understand why there is a degree of jealousy in other jurisdictions. In the US Senate Ireland was described as a tax haven. Mr. Saint-Amans has stated that not only is Ireland not a tax haven but it is far from being one. Is the suggestion Ireland is a tax haven very wrong?
