It is amendment No. 21 in particular. The amendments from Deputies Collins and McGrath would essentially remove the regulatory function from the authority and facilitate a process of regulating the regulators, as it is with the British model. Will the Minister elaborate on the issue? I have an open mind on this but will the Minister explain why he feels so strongly about the matter when it was not what the Competition Authority recommended?
