On behalf of Ceartas, Irish Lawyers for Human Rights, I thank the joint committee for giving us the opportunity to appear before it and present the work of Dr. Peter Doran. Ceartas commissioned this work on the connection between human rights and the environment, particularly at an international level, through international jurisprudence and law following publication of the recent Bill.
