I really do not want to disagree with the IPCC in respect of what it recommends. I know that Susan Solomon, who was the head of the Working Group 1 to the Fourth Assessment Report of the IPCC, very carefully resisted any attempt to draw her into the political arena. I know her quite well and she always insisted that the scientists do not get into the political arena. The scientists provide the objective scientific evidence to the legislators and the legislators then make the political decisions.
