Heads of Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Bill 2013: Discussion (Resumed)
10:10 am
Mr. Owen Wilson:
The legislation provides for a minimum of five members of the expert advisory body of which four are from already designated institutions. Given that the expert advisory group also places a major focus on cost-effectiveness and economic development, it would be advisable that some business person be included within that group. Coming from our own sector and given the role electricity will have to play in terms of decarbonisation of the economy in a cost-effective way, there would be an advantage if that business person were to have some electricity sector background.
