I thank my staff, the committee staff and the staff behind the glass wall who make this debate available to the greater, wider public. I also thank my staff at the Department, who worked extraordinarily hard to meet deadlines with large volumes of work. It has not been easy for them, but what we have produced to date reflects many of the concerns expressed by people.

I also wish to thank the Attorney General for her unstinting service and everyone in her office. I wish to make special mention of the Minister of State, Deputy White, who has been supportive during the course of the debate. We are not finished. The process has been well informed by the debate and continues to be, as will be evidenced by the final amendments on Report Stage.
