It would offer an innovative way for farmers to work together and in partnership, particularly with the collective approaches suggested for commonages and to deal with some of the big issues in Wicklow such as deer management. The collective approach is recognised as the only way forward in that regard. It is estimated that 40% of Ireland's deer population is in Wicklow.
