I have seen the details. I asked about the €13 million figure for write-offs in the accounts. These included write-offs in the case of emergency department of €2.2 million; in-patient charges of €2.1 million and private charges of €4.7 million. Are the people concerned not covered by private insurance and is it the case that they cannot afford to pay? How are write-offs made? When does the HSE stop chasing people for the money? If a person ignores a bill for long enough, will the HSE go away?
