No. The evidence is that the late flu season has peaked. It seems to have produced a particular demand for respiratory care for older persons which resulted in a much higher proportion of admissions among attendances. As the Deputy may be aware, that resulted in a significant increase in the number of patients recorded on trolleys awaiting admission. To manage that safely, it was necessary to make the change. It is a temporary measure and an appropriate response to a particular that issue that arose.
