As the Minister indicated, bullying has been going on since time began. Bhí sé mar sin nuair a bhí me ag dul ar scoil fadó. Bullying commences in our national schools. I am very concerned about bullies who begin in national school but continue to bully at second level and into adulthood. I know three or four young national school students who went on to second level within a few miles of their home. As people identified that these bullies were going to one school, other children were going to schools 15 and 20 miles from home, at great inconvenience and cost to themselves and their parents. That worries me.

My question relates to anonymity and anonymous letters. I know what I do with them when I get them. What responsibility is on local newspaper editors to identify the authors of anonymous letters about me or another colleague if they are printed? The editors do not give those names out.
