Brothels have been operating in Stockholm, Malmo, Gothenburg and so on unimpeded by the sex purchase ban. Evidence was provided to the committee by Dr. Eilis Ward and Dr. Gillian Wiley about the uncovering of a trafficking ring recently in Gothenburg. The argument that criminalisation is a panacea does not hold water.
