I ask a similar question to those I asked previously. In view of the emotive nature of this subject and the sincerely held views on both sides of the debate, is it accepted that the most appropriate way of addressing the issues arising is by way of legislation and regulation, with a view to ensuring that in all circumstances where pregnant women have to be treated, they can be confident of proper medical care, regardless of the views of the professionals to whom they are referred?
