This is the kernel of the problem. The public is looking in. Many mortgage holders who are in difficulty with Permanent TSB are asking how the State can justify spending €2 million over the past four years on public interest directors when it does not know what the directors do or to whom they report. What is the difference between a public interest director and a non-executive banking director? At a minimum the public is entitled to know the answers to those questions. It is very simple, dealing with anyone in any walk of life-----
