I move amendment No. 130:
In page 88, between lines 56 and 57, to insert the following:
"
| 93 | Section 114(1) | Substitute: “(1) A person shall not be qualified for election as auditor of a credit union unless the person-- (a) is a member of a recognised accountancy body within the meaning of the European Communities (Statutory Audits) (Directive 2006/43/EC) Regulations 2010 (S.I. No. 220 of 2010) and holds a valid practising certificate, or (b) is otherwise for the time being authorised by the Supervisory Authority under any provision of the Companies Acts to be appointed as a public auditor.”. |
