Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform
Role and Functions of NAMA: Discussion
4:00 pm
Mr. Brendan McDonagh:
We are doing as much as we can. I would not mind if all 14,000 units ended up in that situation. It would be a big contribution. I am as aware as anyone else of the figures, of the people on waiting lists and of the demand for housing. I am simply saying that we cannot magic up more than what is there. In the case of what is available, we have done our best to make as much of it available as possible. We are keen to see a delivery of it to alleviate a difficult problem.
