The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the review of political allowances with officials from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, and to discuss the review of Civil Service allowances with officials from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. The committee has received correspondence relating to today's meeting from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission. While it had been agreed to deal first with the review of political allowances, if Members are happy to combine both issues for the purpose of discussion, we can do so. Is that agreed? Agreed.
