The Building Control Act does not recognise them either. I mentioned section 6 of the Act. A requirement for statutory certificates of compliance is one of the reforms we are introducing. This will be a document which is to be signed to state that the building is in compliance and the person signing will explain how that conclusion was reached and there will be a supporting document.
