Window-dressing is a term that we use in auditing which basically involves propping up the accounts at the end of the year, which is exactly what happened at Anglo Irish Bank. Money was loaned by Irish Nationwide and Trustee Savings Bank to Anglo Irish Bank at the very end of the year, to prop up the balance sheet.
