634. To ask the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in completing the development of the primary care centre in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo; the reason the development on the project has ceased, given it was due to be operational in 2021; the person or body responsible for the delay; the steps the HSE is taking to recommence building works; at what stage are negotiations between the HSE, the main contractor and sub-contractor; when building works will recommence on this project; if there is an update on the completion date; and if he will provide a copy of the building contracts. As the Health Service Executive (HSE) holds responsibility for the provision, along with the maintenance and operation of Primary Care Centres, I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.

The Deputy may be aware, management and administrative grade staff in the Fórsa union in the HSE commenced industrial action on Friday 6thOctober. As a consequence of this industrial action, members in these grades are not engaging with political forums or processes. As a result, the question asked by the Deputy may be delayed in receiving a response directly from the HSE.
