To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he will provide an update on the progress of the review of the 2018 regulations that exempt certain vacant commercial premises from the requirement to obtain planning permission for change of use to residential purposes; specifically, what considerations are being given to extending the scope of these regulations to include other forms of vacant commercial premises beyond those already exempted; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
