509. To ask the Minister for Health if the scheme for paid leave for public health service employees unfit for work post-Covid infection will be continued past the proposed finish date of 30 June, especially given the number of these staff still suffering ongoing effects of long-Covid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am keenly aware that the temporary Special Scheme of Paid Leave in respect of long-Covid is due to conclude at the end of June, and Officials in my Department are currently reviewing options in this regard. At present, those who remain unwell beyond that date may utilise the provisions of the Public Service Sick Leave Scheme.
