168. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment the annual licensed tonnage of waste delivered to a company (details supplied) since it began operations; if the operators have made applications for increased tonnages that can be delivered to the plant in the past three years to date; and if he will provide a schedule of local authorities that deliver waste to the facility. Industrial emissions installations, such a Dublin Waste To Energy (DWTE), are subject to a range of regulatory controls under national legislation, including planning permission and the conditions attached to a licence issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the operation and management of such sites and are subject to ongoing monitoring by the EPA to ensure compliance with such licence conditions.

Under Section 60(3) of the Waste Management Act, as Minister, I am precluded from the exercise of any power or control in relation to the performance in particular circumstances by the Agency or a local authority of a function conferred on it by the Act, therefore this question should be directed to the EPA.
