To ask the Minister for Finance if the rate of VAT will be reduced on hospitality services to 5% to help struggling businesses to survive in the foreseeable future; if the full-year estimated adjustments as a result of such a measure in the current trading environment will be provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, it is a long-standing practice of the Minister for Finance not to comment, in advance of the Budget, on any tax matters that might be the subject of Budget decisions.
