If a household has been deemed eligible for social housing support, it is a matter for the local authority to examine the suite of social housing supports available, including the HAP scheme, to determine the most appropriate form of social housing support for that household in the administrative area of that local authority. The determination of entitlement to HAP, including the assessment of an applicant's means, is governed by the same arrangements as for other social housing supports.
The Summary of Social Housing Assessments 2019, states that the total number of households qualified for Social Housing Support in County Cavan at 24thJune 2019 was 608. At end June 2019, there were 322 households actively in receipt of HAP support in County Cavan.
At end June 2020, there were 415 households actively in receipt of HAP support in County Cavan.
