374. To ask the Minister for Health if funding will be expedited to prevent the closure of a service (details supplied); if the reason for the shortfall in funding over the past five years which has led to the financial crisis causing the threatened closure will be examined; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand from the HSE that it does not provide on-going funding to the service referred to by the Deputy nor does it have a service level agreement with them.
In addition, the HSE advises that the service hosted a special CE Scheme for people with addictions, which falls within the remit of the Department of Employment Support and Social Protection (DEASP). In this regard the Deputy may wish to refer his question for answer to that Department.
