To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the number of Garda reserves allocated to each station in the Dublin region; the next date for graduation and the number of Garda reserves that will graduate; the total number of Garda reserves nationally; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that as of 31 October 2012 the personnel strength of the Garda Reserve was 996. Of this a total of 299 are assigned to the DMR as follows:
DMR South Central No. Kevin Street Kilmainham Pearse St Harcourt Tce Donnybrook Irishtown Total DMR North Central No. Store Street Bridewell Fitzgibbon Street Mountjoy Total DMR NORTH No. Santry Whitehall Ballymun Raheny Clontarf Howth Coolock Swords Malahide Balbriggan Total DMR EAST No. Dun Laoghaire Dalkey Cabinteely Kill-O-Grange Shankill Blackrock Dundrum Stepaside Total DMR SOUTH No. Crumlin Sundrive Road Tallaght Rathfarnham Rathmines Terenure Total DMR WEST No. Cabra Finglas Blanchardstown Lucan Ronanstown Ballyfermot Clondalkin Rathcoole Total DMR TOTAL
I am further informed by the Garda authorities that there are currently 232 Garda Reserves in training. There is no date finalised for the next Garda Reserve Graduation and, as a result, it is not possible to give the number of graduates at this time.
