To ask the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a number of patients from counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal who travelled to Galway University Hospital for cancer services no longer provided in Sligo Regional Hospital had to return home without the required treatment; the number of patients to whom this has happened; the steps he has taken to ensure that this will not happen again; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service issue, it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.
