To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will urgently introduce legislation in line with other European countries to ban the wearing of the burqua and niqab and other similar coverings, which are not religious requirements, but rather a convention observed in some Muslim countries, and which raise security concerns and possible risk to public safety; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
