Question 599: To ask the Minister for Health if insulin pumps funded by Co-operation and Working Together are currently sitting unused in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, County Louth, as a result of a shortage of diabetes nurse specialists and specialist dietitians; if it is the case that a dietitian post was advertised, offered and accepted but is now frozen due to the recruitment embargo and cutbacks; the number of pumps now unused in the hospital as a result of these cutbacks; the value of the equipment that is now sitting unused as a result of cutbacks; the number of children that are directly affected by this; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
