Question 225: To ask the Minister for Health the location and grade of all public servants within his Department or related agencies who while not having reached the minimum retirement age to avail of cost neutral early retirement will benefit from the provisions under the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (No. 2) Act 2009; his plans to continue the service provided by each of the retiring staff; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following is a breakdown of the grades availing of Cost Neutral Early Retirement before 29 February 2011, under the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (No.2) Act 2009, in my Department:

Higher Executive Officer 2
Staff/Executive Officer Level 3

A Sub Committee of my Department's Management Advisory Committee (MAC) has been convened to manage the reconfiguration of staff resources remaining after these retirements so as to maintain our capacity to deliver our business objectives. The information in relation to the Non-Commercial State Agencies and the Health Service Executive is currently being collated and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is available.
